On my drive here my family and I stoped in Ft worth Texas and hooked up with Kauffman and his family, He gave my family and I a place to stay for a couple of nights, We had some good BBQ. and he showed us some great hospitality. On the morning that we were leaving to continue our trip to the east coast Kauffman took me and my family to breakfast and he footed the bill. Thank you Kauffman!!!!! You are a brother to me. Tom

The only difference is the numbers on the address. That is from a buddy of mine in India Company he is the 1stSgt Breze is his name. I called him the other day out there and they are doing good. Lima Co I guess has been getting into alot of shit out there. They have had quite a few wounded but they are handing it to the little fuckers daily. As for us here we've been in the mix for a while now it has slowed down quite a bit since we handed there ass to them in large numbers. 2/4 took the brunt of the wounded but in return they laid waste to shit loads of them. They are doing well and in good spirits despite loosing a lot of there brothers. I should go for now I'll and take care of some shit take care and be safe.

Message: Chosa to answer you question is kind of tough. Since the Marines got into town we have taken more of the tough areas that the army didn't want and the enemy forces have started to organize themselves better. It's not some guys you see in uniform even though we are finding that the Iraqi police force is envolved in some attacks. They use IEDs alot so at night they set them along the roads and now they are using remote detonators from a distance of 200 to 500m away. There hard to spot and it's a roll of the dice when they set them off. You will be driving down the road and they are dug in the ground or inside a tire on the side of the road and bam they set it off. There is trash every where along the road so it's hard to spot them. The Marines have started going out at night and nailing them but they're are so many of them and a lot fo area to cover. They have started to attack Marines with RPGs and small arms also mortars at the same time. It's like ambushes everyday. Today 2/4 was in a running gun battle for 5 hours with about 50 guys they surprised as they were loading up some explosives. They killed 2 Marines and wounded 5 more but we smoked a lot of them. We've been using the Spectars at night lately which is helping a lot. You don't know who they are, you just have to trust your instincts and hopefully you get the drop on them before they get it on you. There just average rag heads dressed like everyday people. Well I have to get going and get to medical they are bringing in some guys and I'm heading over there. Take care Shindig out!

Message: Hey brothers I don't know what to say I wish I was there at the reunion. That shit sounded like fun. I finally got internet access and I looked at the pics and I fell right into a trance. I just got my email set up and the address is at the top if you send me anything and it doesn't go through change it to ThunderHQ or send it again. Sometimes email is sketchy here or post it on here and I'll see it. As for me I'm doing well as well could be. I'm the only 1stSgt that will go out on the road with the Marines. I just can't look these kids in the face and tell them to go out if I'm not willing to do it myself. It's a dangerous place here as we witnessed today. We had 5 wounded and 2/4 had another killed 5 KIA total from 2/4 across the road from us. We've been lucky and had only about 7 wounded and we've only been here 4 weeks. It's not the usual fighting we're used to its mostly IEDs on the sides of roads so its a roll of the dice every time you go out on the road. The marines are motivated and are willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Everyday I'm here I see marines just like the ones you knew when you were a marine. Pray for them to be safe and keep the faith with each other I know they will do there best for each other and make you proud. It's been a long day a day that has tested me and the Marines here with me. I seen the pics of the reunion and memories flowed back to me like crazy. Savage I have to tell you that you always motivated me like crazy. When I seen you in the pics I just welled up with moto again just like I did back in the day. All of you remember the days you spent with each other and thank god for those days and the days to come. I have to get going and get some sleep tomarrow is going to be another day of fun in the sun and the Iraqi country side thats after a night of mortars they will shoot at us luckily there aim really sucks last night was probably the closest they have gotten to the bks. I hope you all like the Discovery Channel show I hear it was good. I know my son loved it and has watched it about 100 times since. I miss that little guy and I can't wait to see him again god willing. Talk to you all soon and you can count on me in Tampa.

Message: Yo devildogs!

If you have video footage and can get it swapped to VHS, send it my way! I will be putting together a series of video shorts, as I have the editing equipment. If you have digital/dv tapes just send me copies! I can get them swapped over here for editing. I will then make a DVD, and have it mastered for copying.
PLease include any notes, or other imagery you would like to see included.
I will work on a few video shorts so you can see my skills! Stay tuned!

Mail it to Shaun Chosa,
PO Box 135, Ely, MN 55731

Once I talk with Mike I will see if we can do a quick time movie on this site, so you can get a preview.
E-Mail me and we can discuss what you got if your not sure.
