As for this shit hole it has quited down quit a bit since last but it still has it's moments here and there it all depends on where you are. 3/7 is still getting into a lot of shit as usual Lima being the ass kickers. I was driving past Fallujha when they were pulling all the guys out but it looked like all the sand freaks were indoors, they know better than to come out. I know of a Marine sniper in that area that has 40 confirmed, NOW THAT MAKES ME FEEL REAL GOOD.My boys have been doing pretty good. We've made this place pretty hommie. We've built a Horse Shoe pit a basketball court from scratch, had a Marine get in a little trouble and had him build a volleyball court. All this helps them calm down a little when they come back in. We're building our own little MWR tent with some games, TV, book shelf we're even building a freaken ping pong table. It wasn't like when we hit the sand hell look we even got email now and phones can you believe that shit but it's all part to help them with this shit especially when they have to be here for so long. Well I have to get going I have to finish this damn book I'm reading it's killing me.

Message: I needed some humor so John Snell provided me with this:
I never worried about the beer shits--I just figured that they were
cleaning
out the residue from all those MRE's. You remember the scene: You
spend
two weeks in the field (or more if it was CAX), eating nothing but
MRE's and
pogey bait, mostly drinking straight water or cool-aid. I personally
went
for the cool-aid or gatoraid, but that black moss was awful hard to
clean
out of a canteen. Well, you get back and do all the bullshit so you
can go
on libo, and hopefully you've already started on the beer. A couple of
those beers seemed to work some kind of MRE synergistic hell-magic, and
you
had to SHIT (Super-Heavyweight-Intense-Toiletpunishment). Do you
remember
the smell? Nothing else like it on earth. No sir. Sometimes those
MRE/Beer shits would not go down without a fight, either. OOOOOOOH
baby. .
. I know you miss those days.

Schindler: Glad to hear you are doing OK. Thank you for the updates. Media around here just says Marines are in action again, won't specify units. We can only get this info through the message boards.

Jeremy: You are right. There seems to be alot of people going through their daily routines that don't think about the war. The few that do voice their thoughts are anti-war. My opinion, although we have lost a lot of lives, if the U.S. Pulls out we lost a lot of lives for nothing. That pisses me off even more. I would rather send more troops and install a stable gov., than have to do this all over again in 12 years.

Message: Well brothers I thought I would drop you a line and say hello but this comes with a heavy weight. As you seen by the news that 5 Marines were lost on the boarder of Syria they are in a city called Al Qaim that's where 3/7 is. The 5 lost were from Lima Co. A plt of Force Recon Marines got ingaged all friends of mine and the React Force from Lima got involved in the fight it lasted 12 hours a lot of Marines wounded and 5 KIA all from Lima. Lima has been in contact more than any unit in that area. They have lost quite a few and even more wounded actually alot. The thing that gets to me is my ties with 3/7 not only was we all in that unit years ago I also have my best friend there as the 1stSgt of India Co another one of my Recon buddies is the 1stSgt of WPNS. The Force Recon Plt that is working that area are all good friends of mine and they are in the mix of it as well. Also I almost got to be a 1stSgt in 3/7 but missed that oppurtunity by a week. As for our area it has slowed down a bit due to the fighting that the Marines here laid to them 2 weeks ago. The intel we get tells us that they are scared shitless of the Marines and are moving to Army areas to fight them because we killed so many of them. We came here with the 1stMarDiv motto of no best friend no worse enemy, well they lost there best friend and now there worst enemy is hunting them down like dogs. They tried to hit 2/4 but they laid waste to the enemy like nothing they had seen before and I know 3/7 is doing the same in there AO. I have seen to many memorials since I arrived here but with losses that we have sustained it's a small number as to the dead enemy laying in the streets. I wish you all well, kiss your kids at night and never forget the brothers that have sacrafised past and present to allow them to sleep in peace.

Message: Ok,.... tis that time. Tampa is only 2 years away ladies & gents. Summer. Sunny beaches,... bikinis,... OH!?! (sorry) Send me a time frame that people will be able to take off of work. It will be anywhere from EARLY June to EARLY August.
Favorite Story: I need to begin getting feedback from you peeps on what you are expecting. Busch Gardens is REALLY close. Universal Studios is closer. That rich rat is a hop skip and jump away. We are going to be staying IN Tampa/St Petersburg area. Because of room rate, and local. Awaiting feedback.
